i finished the algorithm but i can not decide the sensors. do you have any idea what kind of sensors i can use in this project. i used the pir sensor

but i couldnt take a good efficiency. can you help me choosing the best sensor?

 

is there any idea about this? i also think about capacitor proximity sensors but these sensors detects everythings which are in front. but i want to detect only humans and animals.

I do not know if the PIR sensor will work, as there is a glassplate on top of the table.
It could be they used some light sensors as the reaction with the lamp above the table is heavy.
There are a lot of light sensor types (area, angle, color).
