Hi everyone,

I would like to obtain a curve that shows the variation of Torque vs Azimuth position of a VAWT. I am using a simple resistor dump at the output of the DC generator that is connected to the turbine and a simple energy balance outputs the torque from the voltage measured, over a large period of time an average torque can be obtained and the performance can be obtained, however I would like to trace the torque variation vs azimuth per single rotation.

Working RPM is 700 and I am using a myRio real time vi to obtain voltage readings every 100 microseconds. The problem is that so much noise is being read by the myRio and I have no clue how to remove this noise. Any recommendation on what to do?

I'd suggest using a low-pass filter for noise suppression.
What sort of voltage levels are you getting?
