Hello,

We do not have the politics directly in the user agreement, but we have point 5 wich states:

Role of the Moderators. The Moderators are here to help the membership. If a moderator believes that a question will draw more attention or help in another forum, they may move the thread to draw more responses. If a topic or post has accidentally been duplicated, they will remove the extraneous post. A new topic that repeats a previous topic might be merged for the convenience of the membership. Moderators may also offer occasional encouragement to keep debates civil, should the need arise. When debates become heated the Moderators reserve the right to closed or moderate threads and posts that may be deemed unsuitable in the wider interests of the community.

The Administration and Moderating Team reserves the right to edit your posts, threads, and user information in any way they deem necessary. The Moderators will only do such a thing if there is a reason and such reasons will not be questioned. Reposting content that was removed by The Moderators will result in swift action and a ban.

Although the All About Circuits Administration and Moderation Team will attempt to keep all objectionable posts and threads off this forum, it is impossible for Us to review all messages. Therefore if You come across post or threads that violate Our User Agreement, or contain any offensive, illegal, or otherwise contentious content on The All About Circuits Forums, please alert a member of the Administration and Moderating Team and we will deal with the offending content. Please report offending posts using the "Report" link under a post.

Thanks bertus - this explains much

its just that there may be some conflicts with the first rule of appropriate conduct.
  • Appropriate conduct. Debates should be a civil activity and can be both enlightening and entertaining, but always keep discussion to the facts and the opinions. Ad hominem tactics and directed abuse are always "out-of-bounds".
Forum members are responsible for the content of their posts, including information they provide, validity of this information, and any extra content they may append to the post. Illegal or inappropriate discussion or information will be removed. When there is ambiguity in the legal status of a request or reply, the Moderators and Admin will come to a consensus on whether the discussion is appropriate to remain in the public forum.
Forum members must not knowingly provide any information that may adversely affect another member; this includes, but is not restricted to, information that may potentially result in injury, death, damage or destruction of property and possessions. The administration takes this matter seriously and has the right to remove any contentious content and deal with the offending member as it deems is necessary.

@nsaspook, I know you’re intelligent, so I will assume you already know this, but the government is a Huge factor in economics, and when it controls money supply and federal rates, you can’t ignore it. My money is printed by our government. If you read Keynesian economics you can’t ignore the role government has.
So what? The rule is to not talk about it here, in this thread, please. Is that really so hard to handle?

Are political opinions banned in Off-Topic discussion about Inflation?
That was to my post that in actuallity had nothing at all to do with politics. Al it mentioned was the 4 year news lock out. Things that actually happened during that time have no place being talked about, even when no political person was mentioned, only a time period that resulted in what is happening now.

apparently it was an opinion not allowed or wanted by a moderator who decides these things, who knows… because it couldn’t be a personal attack since that’s not allowed by the rules.

No personal attack or political mention. Just straight facts that rub some(many?) people the wrong way when they get brought up. Things happened but we're supposed to forget they did. And when they did they shouldn't be mentioned. I'm sure all of our posts will disappear soon.

A shortage of sledge hammers?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-Depot-Bottega-Veneta-store-Black-Friday.html
Roaming packs of thieves ransacked another luxury retailer in Los Angeles on Black Friday before descending on Home Depot despite California Gov. Gavin Newsom's vow to crack down on the string of organized 'smash and grabs' plaguing the state.

The Bottega Veneta store in LA's trendy Beverly Grove shopping district saw a large group enter the store at 5:21 p.m. and snatch pricey merchandise before one robber pepper-sprayed someone in the face, the LA Police Department reported.

At the Home Deport, in Lakewood, eight people made their way into the home improvement chain at 7:55 p.m. and stole sledgehammers, wrenches and hammers, threatened customers and then fled in 10 getaway cars.
The Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department told CBS that the Home Deport robbery was especially worrying because the tools stolen could likely be used to rob more stores in the area.

Sheriff's deputies added that an entire section of sledge hammers was cleared out at the Home Depot, hammers similar to those that gangs of thieves have used to smash glass displays to nab jewelery and other high-end products, like iPhones.
BREAKING news.

nice :D:p
whew, can’t afford to get drunk because of inflation and besides the stores are empty because of the shortage
Maybe where you are. Years ago I swore I would never go out shopping on Black Friday. This year, against my better judgement, I went out on Black Friday. Told our daughter I would handle a gift for our son-in-law. First stop was a Cabela's Outdoor Store, Wow, just me and several thousand people at that stop. People with carts loaded and a checkout line wrapping around the store. Fortunately I could buy and pay for my main item at the department I bought it in. Everything was plentiful and even with inflated prices selling very well.

My next stop was Lowes Home Improvement store. Doing a little home improvement remodeling. Same thing, people buying everything in sight. Pretty much everything well stocked. I survived and my driveway never looked so go returning home.

Around me (Cleveland, Ohio USA Suburbs) everything seems well stocked including the liquor stores and beer and wine. While prices do not reflect pre COVID the stuff is out there and from what I saw inflation is not stopping people from shopping. Retailers are already posting mega sales. :)
