Unfortunately I am in same said boat of being stuck on 2 3:8 decoders

Post your work.

A couple variants of the decoders have been posted. AFAIK, all of them work and the bottleneck is something being called a "selector".

You might get better mileage if you start your own thread because it's unlikely that the three members with active issues will be having the same difficulties.
