Hi All,

I'm hoping someone may of come across what i'm looking for. I'm building a electronics ( environmental ) sensor that will run off a cellular connection. The main board i'm using has a sim card slot which works great but i want to make the enclosure so that it doesn't need to be opened. So i'm looking for a panel mounted sim card reader, panel mounted so i can drill a hole in the side of the enclosure and mount the reader.

I have found one but i'm yet to receive a response from the manufacturer - https://www.ept.ca/products/sim-card-reader-delivers-rugged-ip67-protection/

If you have come across anything similar or have a better idea please do let me know. I have looked at sim card extenders but i need something that will allow the sim to easily inserted from the outside of the enclosure and also be semi waterproof.

Many Thanks...

Can't the main board just be mounted to the side of the inside of the enclosure with right angle brackets or whatever and a slot cut to expose the connector insertion area?

The fact you even found an off the shelf item is surprising to me..
But all they really did was create a PCB that pokes through a blank circular connector shell..
