AFAICR: the first 2 digits indicate the size (energy rating) and probably states the disc diameter in mm. The last 3 digits are the voltage rating in the same format as numeric capacitor and resistor values.

So a 10<x>271 would be a 10mm 270V MOV suitable for small appliances on 230V UK mains.

Littlefuse is the first name that came to mind for a company with a good library of MOV datasheets, but there's several others.
