I have removed microcontroller from my car ECU. The car is E36 with M50B25 Engine, but it is a swapped engine from some even older 5 series.
So this ECU and chip may not be stock items. ECU is bosch motronic.
Chip has 28 pins and has some labels on it
On top:
B58 038
U102142MC
m© 1989
On top but on sticker:
1 267 356 548
On bottom:
7042455NBM
PHILIPPINES ST 50

I have T56 Universal USB Programmer and with Xgpro v12.67 software I want to read the data of this microcontroller.
I need to identify IC correctly to indicate in software but I can not find any related IC listed in there that may refer to my microcontroller.
It will be super helpful if anyone could help me identify it or to let me know if there are other ways to read data from it.

Even if you identify it it is most unlikely that you will be able to read the code stored in it. Manufacturers do not like people cloning their products and the micro-controller manufacturers support this by making it possible to protect the code in the chip so that it cannot be read.

Thank you for quick response.
I assume you are right, but depending on micro controller there should be some way to do it. Also in general I know this is doable, since I have heard some people doing it.
