Based on the text in #6, to emulate the module output the external monostable must be triggered with a positive edge, and produce a positive pulse.If you can't modify the PIR module use this circuit.
As ***always***, there is another way:
CD4093 - input inverter > monostable > output inverter
Because the monostable pulse always will be shorter than the module output pulse, a more simple boxcar circuit will work. Two gates, or two inverters, or two transistors.
