Hello everybody..
Today I got a CRT TV which have a problem no display but sound is ok.
Now, I´m facing a problem in reading resistor colour code because of a abnomal resistor to be replace.
It is 5band resistor....
1st =red
2nd=red
3rd=silver(abnormal as in photo)
4rd=gold
5th=violet
I can´t define its value coz of 3rd colour..it is different from other resistors that IMG_20160817_232813.jpg IMG_20160817_232813.jpg I have ever seen.
All my skillful electricians, help me please....

Are you certain it's a resistor? I'm thinking it could be a 0.22µH inductor, 5% tolerance. But neither explains the violet, unless that indicates polarity (winding direction). See here.

Hmm. The violet band does not look like the others, looks like it might have been painted on.

Bob
Thz for ur comment sir.
But it is relly an original resistor from my circuit board of Toshiba Tv.
It may coz of my camera error.
Not a paint.

Thank u sir.
But first colour of all common conductors are always #silver.
