Maybe for the same reason they created a machine that, depending of the settings, plays a game for you in automatic. Astonishing is seeing a lot of people - and I mean a LOT - in a huge (and noisy) place with hundreds of those machines playing in auto while they keep staring God knows where... Google "pachinko".

If I was in the business of designing bikes, I think I'd like to have a robot as a test rider. Or, it might make an interesting "pony express".

 

May be one day there will create a "fighter jet bot" to save human lives.

Bikes are able to get to places 4 wheel vehicles can't. I can see military uses for this technology.
