Good morning, I am looking for a variac for a Single Phase Isolation Transformer (Step up). The single phase transformer has an input of 480V, 60HZ, and an output of 240/380/400/480/600/690/1000V @ 10A +/- 10%. I need the variac to be able to handle 480VAC up to 30A single phase. On www.variac.com I have found a variac with an input of 480VAC, 1 Phase, 60 Hertz, Output from 0 to 480VAC or 0 to 560VAC depending on wiring with 35A of constant current. Is there anyway someone can check out this variac for me and see if it will work well with the Transformer up above. If not does anyone have any suggestions ?

It is the 6020-2S on this website: http://www.variac.com/staco_480_1ph.htm

If the transformer can handle the 560VAC at 60Hz on its input, then you should have no issues feeding the variac into the transformer.

That's what I was unsure about. I am aware of what Transformers do but I'm no expert at them. But that makes perfect sense thank you.
