I am considered a heretic for having reviewed the "scientific" models and their predictions against actual real-world data and coming to my own conclusion that AGW as a theory has failed with respect to the Scientific Method.

Ditto. I've seen a lot of bad science in my lifetime but this doozy takes the cake.

I look in on it from time to time and, to my pleasant surprise, it seems to be unraveling lately. The models have failed spectacularly. The satellite data that was supposed to be the "smoking gun" proved to be just the opposite - solid evidence that humans have little impact on atmospheric CO2. And now the realization that most of the historical temperature data has been fudged to "prove" AGW is becoming public. More skeptical papers are getting published. More and more lay people are realizing they've been lied to for political reasons.

I wonder how much longer AGW will be a thing. Perhaps until they figure out the next imagined crisis.

I dispute AGW -- it is my prerogative as a scientist to do so. But, in your mind, I am a hijacking heretic (or "denier" in your words from the past) for doing so.

If AGW were truly science, we would be debating data. Not whether or not one is entitled to defend a position or if it is politically correct to do so.

I remember standing on an L train platform in January 1968. The name, "windy city" was appropriate that night.
When I think of that, I am deeply grateful for where I am now.

I just sat in my 98F car and warmed up like a lizard in the sun.
