How's the weather?

Recent global increase in multiple rapid intensification of tropical cyclones
How can you not be aware that we didn't even monitor the intensification (or any other aspect of hurricane formation) until the 1970s?

There is no freaking science here. Just conjecture, confirmation bias, and big, grifting, business (and government!).

Again: if CAGW was real, show me where someone, anyone, anywhere is working on a solution that a) works b) doesn't kill people, and c) does not just transfer our wealth to our enemies.

I literally don't care if CAGW is valid or not. I choose life.

and the 70's were 50 years ago, while I was in the Keys, at a Naval Air station, with a complete weather department and we supplied the communications (for conditions and predictions) for them. We have a massive amount of data on intensification (or any other aspect of hurricane formation) over the last 50 years. The trend data is IMO very clear but we have free will to believe what we chose.

CAGW, valid or not, don't IMO be stupid.

The hottest climate in our collective memory occurred in the 1930s.
Then your "collective memory" is faulty.
Earth's average temperature has increased by an average of 0.11°F per decade since 1850 and 0.36° per decade since 1982 (here).
But I guess conspiracy lovers have there own set of (non) facts.

There is no uncorrupted temperature record...

...and there's no such thing as a measurable global temperature.

But, again, name a (viable, practical, implementable) solution that does not involve mass human sacrifice.

Fine, lets adjust that, say by two orders of magnitude....
how was temperature measured to 10F in 1850?
What's funny: it's reasonably difficult to measure air temperature accurately within 0.1°F in 2024. Most members here couldn't do it.

Funnier: @crutschow thinks the same thermometer from 1700 is still doing it today.
