Good grief. Our weather today. My daughter and I ran a 5K race in Chicago this morning. After a nice lunch we headed home only to encounter a white-out on the way home. We were both crashing a bit so we stopped for Starbuck's.

 

It's like an unending winter up here in the Cleveland, Ohio area. What you saw in Chicago today we should be seeing late this evening and into tomorrow. I am beyond cabin fever.

I thought we were getting fall back yesterday. I went for a bicycle ride and almost froze my butt off. It was so windy which made it worse. I cut the ride short. I just don't tolerate the cold anymore.

Today it is cold and damp. Beginning to worry, I have a tour in eary July I need to get in share for. Fortunately I kept the miles short. I think most days are 30-40 miles. Lonest day is 60 but almost half of that is coming down off of Mt. Hood.

Um...it rains here everyday -- somewhere. And then it doesn't.

That's the kitchen wall, which is concrete and is outdoors on the other side (always in the shade, though) ... so you'd want to take about 2 degrees off that reading. Still, 26C is not cool at all. But believe it or not, it doesn't feel too uncomfortable.

In a word the weather just plain sucks. We had a high today of about 50 F. so it remains unseasonably cold. The good news is we had sunshine for a change but tomorrow back to cool and wet. We have seen a few nice 70 plus days and maybe an 80 but very few and very few with sunshine. The last nice day I managed to get the bike out for a ride. I got 50 miles west of here and noticed my battery wasn't charging. Now I have a regulator on order and of course years ago someone replaced the factory OEM charging system with an aftermarket high output system. Anyway, the weather sucks so not like I would be out riding anyway.
