Honestly, I am sick and tired of the rain. I saw just a peek of sunlight for the first time in two weeks today. Had to squint.

Been in the Gazebo all day with +30c, but hear Donner und Blitzen approaching fast.

Rain for about 9 days in a row and it seems to be settling down to (the usual) afternoon thunder-boomers next week. That will be welcome. Three things didn't get done last week because they needed several hours of, "outdoors without rain" and it didn't happen.
On the other hand, the inside of the house is a lot neater.
All my tools are cleaned and sorted and a few trash cans got filled.
Looking forward to the drenching sweats that accompany outdoor summer work in Florida...not.
For those who were paying attention last year, I got my potassium content under control. No muscle spasms for about 8 months now.
400 mg/day works for me.
Odd...after I found that I had a problem with potassium, I discovered that my mother and my sister share(d) that characteristic.
Must be a family thing.
Anyway, it's fixed now.
No germs, no injuries, and no relatives in my home. That's enough to make me happy.

I had a potassium problem too, a few years ago. All I had to do is tweak my diet a little. I haven't had the need of taking supplements in the form of pills as of yet.
Tomatoes and bananas are excellent sources of potassium ... though I wouldn't eat them at the same time
... yuck! I like tomatoes a lot more than I like bananas. When I grow tomatoes I use an, "indeterminate" variety. (That means undefined or unlimited vine growth.) Nitrogen fertilizer until the plants fill the six foot tall tomato cages, then switch to potassium fertilizer to force them to convert to the fruiting stage. My personal best is 75 pounds off one plant.

Just wondering: Have you looked into magnesium as well? My wife's friend has electrolyte issues from time to time and has to pay attention to potassium. We've also discovered that magnesium helps her quite a bit.
Back on potassium, could just switching to sea slat instead of sodium chloride make enough of a difference?
Dunno ... but the low-sodium salt substitute might. It's got potassium chloride after all.
When I was looking for a potassium supplement I was amused that KCl is a prescription drug...which is found in 40 pound bags in the water softener aisle.
I don't think switching to sea salt or low sodium salt will have any effect on me because it takes me about 10 years to use up a pound of salt shaker salt.
Edit: This might be related to salmonella poisoning in 1993. It was so bad that it stripped the cilia out of my guts and I have a malabsorbtion problem. I have to be careful not to need more than a gallon of water in a day or it won't absorb. I drink because I'm thirsty, then I go to bed and slosh like a water bed with air bubbles in it.

So does sea salt! It’s not all that much, something like 4% of the sodium is replaced (and I thought it was more until I looked it up), but even that can be significant.
No such problem on the Lake Michigan shore yesterday. A perfect 4th of July except we were so tired after playing at the beach that we missed the fireworks.
Not dry at all... at least down here. Here's a pic of my backyard a few moments ago...
On the other hand, the weather has been quite warm and sunny for the last few weeks.
I think I'll volunteer for the relief efforts. Finding my sunglasses and swim trunks now...
