I assume you are referencing the tree frogs? It was so bad in Antigua, I had an ocean view room but I couldn't hear the blasted ocean at night because the frogs were so damn loud!

 

Dropping below -8F here now. Not a frog to be heard. Or bird, or mammal.

 

Florida needs more cold. Something to zap a few thousand of those damn pythons and other creepy things that went wild 5 or 10 years back.

Rain just started here. It's so unusual in the winter that I looked out the window to see what that sound was.
The forecast now is 5 days of 70's followed by 5 days of 60's. Pretty comfortable for me.
Yay, Florida winters!

 

 

Minus one degree C ... and wet outside... this is not my kind of weather... I'm freezing my butt off ... so I took a warm shower, and fixed myself a large mug of blueberry tea... I feel better already ...

In 19 hours I will be at 0C...32F. A sight so very rare in Florida. I think I've seen it 3 times in 40 years.
On the bright side, I am not going to work at taking the winter weeds out of the flower beds, the frost will kill them.
I like a hot shower in the morning, too. It makes a lot of difference in getting me up to speed for the day.

 

Down in NC visiting friends. Winston Salem NC and snowing, everything is closed. Only 4" of snow. These people need a reality check. On the bright side it is nicer than Cleveland, Ohio about now.
