Some of that happens here, too. I used to fish at night, all around Pinellas County, until I found out I suck at fishing.
The only thing I was catching was peace and quiet...which is a fairly good result.
Anyway, I went to John's Pass to buy a new fishing pole and the only place to park was a new multilevel concrete parking structure. They wouldn't let me in because I couldn't remember the name of the fishing pole store (Bett's). That was almost 30 years ago, and beach parking hasn't gotten better.

Now that winter is here, I plan on driving behind a Gold Edition Cadillac with Michigan plates screaming, "Some of us are not on vacation!"

I’ll be sure to rent a Gold Edition Cadillac next time I’m in town. I could use a good yelling at (I can only hope it will have Michigan plates).

I regularly go to Aljazeera nightly for some balanced news reporting.
And one of the world reported temperature locations is Alice Springs.
Nice to see it reached 30°C today.
I was worried as a couple of days ago it had dropped to 21°C.

Autumn is here... the last few days have been quite dry, with a maximum of 24°C (75°F) in the afternoon, and a minimum of 9°C (48°F) in the mornings

 

I woke up cold today. The bedroom was 70F without the air conditioner on.
It would normally be 78F with the air conditioner on.
I haven't checked the weather report lately and did not expect the outdoor temperature to be 54F last night.
Oh well. Good day to work outside.
