She put down a coating only after dumping the first time. But it climbed to the 50’s yesterday melting most of it. They are saying another system is set to pass over this week, not putting the blower away till then. I wasn’t ready and my blower took a half day to prep, but I’m ready for this one.

Maxing out @ 85°F here on the Coast but anytime it gets over 70°F for more than a day or two the Sand Gnats come out! Georgia State Insect! Thank God for the Sand Gnat or we'd up to our ass in Yankees!

Ha! ... you mean if it weren't for that vermin all of NYC would migrate to Georgia? ... if that's the case, down here we say that this miserable heat is what's keeping the chilangos (people from Mexico City) away!

This little rural spot on the coast is fast filling up with "others". My little 3.5 acres on the marsh would be worth millions USD in the next county down... Used to be doctors and lawyers from Atlanta would move here to retire but a building boom is on. Problem is they all want to make it "Like where they came from" and that is why I moved here. To get away from there!

And that's usually the problem with "national migration" ... (also applies to international, of course) ... people want to be accommodated according to their own customs, instead of them adapting to their new surroundings ...

Complaining about the weather is not what I use to do. This time instead, I will tell what we are having currently here: in the center of the country we are in the second week with temperatures reaching even up to 39ºC. The thermal feeling is even higher.

In certain areas we are breaking highest temp records 50 (even 106) years old! What people is not aware that it could be worst (at least in my area) because we are having low humidity which helps to sense it as not oppressive as it could be. Where I live we are having light breeze most of the time that also helps to the above.

Few weeks ago, in less than 18 hours we went from 33ºC down to 10ºC!

Nice (frightening) future for my children.
