Every time there is any form of natural disaster it seems idiots crawl out from under rocks having a theory reflecting their intelligence quotient, in this case about two points higher than a rock. Natural disasters happen, they have always happened and always will happen.

Cold front blew through in the wee hours of the morning. Thought we lost a few limbs off of one of the pecan trees but nope, 2 1/2' trunk of a pignut hickory across our driveway right at the gate. So, we're trapped until we can someone to saw it up. Guess we are lucky it went into our lot instead of the 3 phase hi line if it had gone the other direction.

A really sad story.

 

New England, particularly where I live (in the red portion near the coast), got walloped today. About 60cm. The storm was a N’oreaster as it’s called in the area. A storm off the coast where weather whips in from the northeast (n’oreast). It picks up a lot of moisture from the ocean and dumps it on the land. The first picture was of the weather map. The second was the view out my window. And the last is the attitude of New England today.
