Finishing up a record breaking string of mid 70s absolutely beautiful days. Rain later tonight as the cold front moves in. Wow, what a great week.

While it is no longer hotter than hot, it's been very very dry. Aside from a half dozen light sprinkles, this year, since the snow melted, we've gotten only one good soaking rainfall. Todays weather is predicted to continue sunny and dry with no foreseeable changes on the horizon.

Our mountains have gotten snow. Plenty of it. Which is a good thing, but my lawn and trees are all suffering badly. Even the dogs have stopped urinating on my trees.

Certainly isn't like this! We got 2 inches total out of this storm when it came through Utah. Mountains got lots more, but in the valley's (4500 ft. elevation) we sure didn't get this.

You've only got ~15° less latitude than me and we are looking @ a high of 62°F and cloudy for today.
I took off for a weekend last month
Just to try and recall the whole year.
All of the faces and all of the places,
wonderin' where they all disappeared.
I didn't ponder the question too long;
I was hungry and went out for a bite.
Ran into a chum with a bottle of rum,
and we wound up drinkin' all night.

It's those changes in latitudes,
changes in attitudes nothing remains quite the same.
With all of our running and all of our cunning,
If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane.

It's actually snowing in some parts of the city right now... I'll be damned... this happens something like once every 20 years, in average...
It’s warmed up here, to -2F. I shoveled about a foot of snow off my driveway yesterday but it was the lightest of the season. Dry, fluffy, like I’ve seen in the mountains of Montana.

We are expecting snow next week, we got a skid last week couple inches and quickly went away. Now they said it’s going to be all week, I’m ok with it.

Blame the polar vortex, Generally the winds are from the west to east around the globe & the poles, but with the present vortex, all the weather is descending downwards from the poles.
Down as far as Mississippi!

This morning I was looking at temperatures down along the gulf coast and It's cold! Here in NE Ohio it's real cold with a fine snow falling and heavy stuff expected this afternoon. Currently about 21 degrees F. Getting sick of the well below normal temps and cold. Hopefully March will do the lion/lamb thing.

It is 17f/-8C outside. The all time record low is 16f. We have some gross looking white stuff on the ground that isn't snow; frozen rain. We haven't had electricity for the past 6 hours and it's getting pretty cold inside. About 50f/10c inside. Might have to go sit in the car after a while.

@strantor here is a mini room heater works really well, I’m putting one in my Garage / Man Cave next door neighbor has one it’ll heat a 12x12 room well, the fam could huddle in and stay warm if it happens again. Good emergency measure.

Hang in there one of my customers I helped with their security system said she was going to be without power for 3 days, when I put in my solar charging system I’ll not have to worry about power loss, this does require a fan to disburse the heat I believe without it you might be able to passively allow the heat to rise. Minimal wood needs just keep a stock of limb trimmings, good to go Or go with a Geni.

A lovely, sunny-5F this morning. Snow everywhere but a little too cold to play in it. One day soon it’ll probably shoot up to 50F and we’ll have a huge mess.
