How exactly could you breadboard this?

I'm looking for a chip that has about 30 or so i/o pins, but the only pics I keep finding are in that square shape, and I was looking more for the standard rectangular shape so I could do some testing/breadboarding. Is there any easy way to breadboard that? Or does microchip make chips with a high number of i/o pins in the rectangular shape? I know atmel does as I've seen a couple of them.

If all you are after is a chip with 30 I/O pins and you are nor worried about the extra computing power of the 16 bit PIC24 devices then there are plenty of 40 pin DIL chips with up to 34 I/O pins in the PIC16 and PIC18 series of 8 bit microcontrollers.
