Hi, i got AC LED rope light, the lights are very bright, want to tone them down, can i reduce current flowing to the LED lights.
Supply voltage to LED lights is 240AC, wattage per meter is 4.8
If i reduce wattage by half i am hoping i can reduce brightness. any practical circuit solutions.
i.e. Simple/Cheapest solution the better.

So really want to try resistor circuit first then maybe Transformer Circuit. then maybe off shelf component.

Having a complete lack of knowing how the LED rope is internally wired or powered, I say, go ahead and try. Even if you fail, you will learn about what changes the LED rope will allow and which it won't allow.
