How to Restore Conductivity on Non-Conductive key of Akai mini 25keys PCB ?

Hi everyone,

I’m working on fixing my Akai Mini 25 keyboard. One of the keys stopped responding, so I took it apart and found that one of the gold contacts on the PCB is no longer conductive. I ran a continuity test and confirmed that this contact is indeed non-functional. You can see in the attached photo where I’m pointing with tweezers—the small pin that’s supposed to be gold is no longer conductive.

When I tested continuity between this pin and the nearby transistor or resistor (D19), there was no connection. Everything else seems to be working fine, so this is the only problem area.

Any idea how to bridge that non conductive defaulty part?

Thanks for your help!

I have tried cleaning in a few instances, and if the problem is due to contamination it works very well. But when the problem is wear, cleaning has not helped. That is when repair is needed.

Thank you all for your responses. I was in a rush and needed to finish the job yesterday, so I didn't have time to wait for the products to arrive or buy from the internet. It's not perfect, it got the job done. I messed a littlte bit the board, but I managed to complete the task on time.

For next time's job, I will purchasing the conductive pen, paint, or Caikote 44, as suggested by Ya’akov
