How to reduce the Back EMF in an electricity generator?

Hi, I'm new to most things physics.

I'm studying electricy generation and I'm wondering if there's a way to reduce the back EMF by at least 50%, ideally up to 90%.

I found this video on youtube (starts around 6:25):

It presents a certain design which supposedly reduces the back EMF.

But being a newbie and all - it's not clear to me exactly how it works, and I haven't heard him say by how much it reduces it.

What are your throughts on the design in the video? Should it work?

What other thoughts do you have, perhaps using a different mechanism, on how to reduce the back EMF?

Thank you.

Back EMF is priduced in a motor when driven by electric power. In a generator, the EMF is the power it is generating. The analog of back EMF in a generator is the mechanical resistance to spinning it, and it cannot be reduced, it must equal the power generated. This is basic physics.
