Hi all
I hope to design a device that can make a small signal like a sin wave sound to travel like laser beam which will not spread out in small distance.

I don't want it to spread for 3 meters
I saw a a device on the TV that is used in cinemas to talk to a person sitting surrounded by many people so nobody can listen you except the the targeted person.

Use parabolic reflectors.

It is easy to beam higher than you can hear ultrasonics.

Ultrasonic devices are used to beam a translation to a person in a conference and people nearby do not hear it.
They make an object at a museum "talk".
Look in Google for Hypersonic Sound and Audio Spotlight.

My apologies to you @nsaspook Sir.
Along with anyone else I may have inconvenienced It can be very frustrating to click on a link that goes nowhere ,would make me want to yell as well.
As for the non-existent technology. All technology was non-existent . It is a prerequisite that we make it up as we go along... :)

These are just a few of the virtually limitless number of potential applications. Within the next 3 to 5 years sound beam technology should begin to find its way into many different areas of our everyday lives. We should also begin to see many new applications in a number of different areas. Just imagine the way that advertisers might use this type of technology. Don’t be surprised the next time you go to the supermarket and the donuts are pleading with you to buy them and eat them. Don’t worry, you aren’t crazy. The voices in your head are real.
Still waiting...

Maybe development is complete and it's classified.
This could be the explanation for Havana Syndrome... and all other maladies with curious symptoms that the patient can't quite verbalize beyond "icky" and similar words.
Another Military Conspiracy of secret technology ... Please ...
Havana Syndrome. HA HA HA Didn't you get the CIA memo. Sonic weapons are off the table now, the current bogyman weapon uses microwaves.

We’ve blamed witches, demons, telephones, and giraffes for the aches and pains of everyday life. The Havana syndrome saga may yet be another episode of this blame game. I really feel for the people affected, especially since their personal health is being scrutinized and speculated about under the microscope of media coverage. But I don’t think we can rule out the snowball effect of nonspecific symptoms in a high-stress situation with an active rumour mill. These mass suggestion events have punctuated humanity’s long history. Microwave weapons? Not so much.

The ultrasonic audio beaming products I mentioned are new and are sold and installed today, not 19 years ago.
Hypersound Pro Audio and Holosonics Audio Spotlight are two products and maybe there are more.

I personally prefer Holosonics for my application. They just announced a newer version.

Oh yes,The electromagnetic spectrum, boundless physics.
What I like about this non-existing technology & non-linearity, ultrasonic beaming. Is the possibility to create a structure with a negative refractive index, since this property is not found in any non-synthetic material. Frequency Selective Surface (FSS), Artificial Magnetic Conductors (AMC) and High Impedance Surfaces (HIS).The HIS or AMC, is a artificial metallic.
But what I am really excited about is the high-frequency battlefield communication potential & lenses for high-gain antennas & improving ultrasonic sensors. But mostly now I can talk back to those voices in my head & know where they're coming from. :)
From another thread about impossible things.

I was correct in making you my nemesis & you are the coolest person I never met!
I'm tired of designing using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) tools
This is a good read!
Yuehe Ge, Karu P. Esselle, and Yang Hao, “Design of Low- Profile High Gain EBG Resonator Antennas Using Genetic Algorithm,” IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letter, vol. 6, 2007. :)
I've given up being a Nemesis.
