A much older automotive ignition coil back from when distributors were used would be what I recommend.

Explain reason?A much older automotive ignition coil back from when distributors were used would be what I recommend.
Certainly, MAX! First, the single coil spark transformer provides a better form factor, and much more convenient terminals for external connections. In addition, there is no second high voltage terminal to cause problems. And in the event that a used coil is not available, it will cost much less than one of those goofy looking dual coil devices.Explain reason?
That second high voltage terminal is just the other connection to the single output winding.there is no second high voltage terminal to cause problems
Is that a good criteria for what devices to use in an electronic circuit?one of those goofy looking dual coil devices.
The 'second' terminal is used for the ground connection. Also provides isolated secondary.it will cost much less than one of those goofy looking dual coil devices.
That small, it may not support the extra bit of loading the fence may require.Yeah those are the older car/truck coils.. Im talking much smaller ATV ones like this: https://www.scooterdomain.com/ignit...-version-2-by-no-fsic301577.html?ff=2&fp=4281
If it matters.. this fence might be 15'. Absolutely less than 20'.That small, it may not support the extra bit of loading the fence may require.
