A much older automotive ignition coil back from when distributors were used would be what I recommend.

 

I generated a capacitive-discharge fencer circuit (below) that runs directly from mains AC without an isolation transformer and uses the dual-output waste-spark coil for safety isolation on the output.
It, of course, requires using a GFCI outlet and being careful when testing, to avoid electrocution.

Certainly, MAX! First, the single coil spark transformer provides a better form factor, and much more convenient terminals for external connections. In addition, there is no second high voltage terminal to cause problems. And in the event that a used coil is not available, it will cost much less than one of those goofy looking dual coil devices.

That second high voltage terminal is just the other connection to the single output winding.
You would connect it to earth ground when used in a fencer.

The 'second' terminal is used for the ground connection. Also provides isolated secondary.
Very easy to adapt to fence controller, and also very effective, myself. others, and the local herd of deer will attest to that.
I get my used auto parts from a local strip-yourself-wrecker, cost: minimal.!

 

My next junkyard visit will result in grabbing at couple of those older coils. Until then though I'm having a difficult time finding working examples using ATV coils (not wasted spark kind).

It's entirely possible that it makes no difference.. I'm only asking to be safe before I potentially fry something.

That small, it may not support the extra bit of loading the fence may require.

If it matters.. this fence might be 15'. Absolutely less than 20'.
