i think of op amp , but the type i have studied come up with limitations of bandwidth ..... any suguestion

 

Might try the Amature Radio Hand book; something like ARRL Hand Book. Maybe some of our Hams will respond.

That can easily be done with a single metal package 2n2222. The "Tuna Tin" trasmitters use a single 2222 for a few hundred milliwatts.
