How to find a burnt resistor without circuits?

 

Open your eyes and sniff the board. Those would be my first two choices. You could also ask someone who knows what to look for.

 

Look for the resistor that is blackened.

 

In addition to looking for blackened resistors and the smell of burnt carbon you should use an ohm meter and check all fusible resistors these willgo open without being blackened or giving off a burnt odour.

 

maybe he has hand full of resistor's.ask some question's ,see if he has color's for
color code and by first color if he is starting with torerance.Does he see any color's reply.
