Hi experts,
I study a SAS 9305 HBA card through a backplane to SATA HDD, how to design the backplane correctly?
The left side is miniSAS HD connector, and the right side is SAS connector, but it's for SATA HDD.
I checked the pinout SAS and SATA is the opposite. Since 9305 HBA is SAS controller, should I follow SAS pinout? or stick to SATA pinout.
For example, SATA0_TX_DP/N from miniSAS HD should connect to S6/S7 or S2/S3 for SATA HDD, or it doesn't matter. Perhaps, SAS can automatically reverse like PCIE.
Furthermore, the 29 pins SAS connector of BP should be compatible with SATA HDD, right?
