Labeled as:

MOLI ICR-18650M
U72 2E617 02

What's their amperage? I'm finding conflicting information on Google. 2800mA, 4000mA and 5000mA.

From my limited experience, the capacity is plainly marked on the label:

These were AliExpress "specials" and it seems that 9900mAh means more like 3000mAh...

Those are pretty close. I also found the 2800mA rating. But because the label didn't match exactly I wasn't sure. I'm thinking the U72 or the 2E617 might be some sort of date code. When one doesn't know - the best thing to do is to ask.

@dl324 Those you can buy are typically marked. These are marked only as stated in post #1.

Cheap batteries are fakes or worse. Name Brand batteries do what their labels say they do.
The mAh is not the maximum allowed current, instead it is how much time a reasonable current will last for one discharge.
There are battery tests online that show many no-name-brand batteries fail and are junk.

Beware! An 18650 cell is Lithium that is dangerous. If a poor quality battery or charger is used then you might have a spectacular explosion and fire.

These batteries came out of a Toshiba laptop. It's not likely they are cheap knock-offs.

@bertus -thanks for the chart. I'll save that in my archives.
