Id like to start off by stating im new to forums in general so if i am not following correct posting rules please let me know, i am a humble guy.
Im still somewhat of a beginner although i have a solid understanding of electricity
Ive built quite a few basic audio amps thus far , the LM series as well as the tda2003 and tea2025b recently ive built successfully. Just following the datasheets. But i was wondering how you would add subwoofer outputs to a basic amp circuit, im thinking you would split your input but i feel like the actual solution is more complex.
Would you need/would it be better to have a preamp that had sub output as opposed to the main amp itself?
I have yet to make a stereo with a preamp, but i do have a couple of the TDA1524A chips , just havent got around to building one
Again please let me know if i am missing something, i am not being specific enough, or if this is answered elsewhere. I have the basics of DIY audio but i know i lack terminology and full understanding.
(Id eventually like to build a subwoofer amp but its quite the challenge at my current skill level.)
