How do you make a holding circuit with a momentary pushbutton

I would like to make a five minute delay for some headlights and I would like to use a momentary pushbutton.

A simple timer using a 555 chip, or cd4060.

Which one? The datasheet for a specific time delay relay would show the connections.

I would like to use a momentary switch and delay it for 10 minutes but I don't know how to keep power with a momentary switch.

Normally a retaining contact on the timer or relay is used, some examples.
