how do i become an electrical engineering guru?

Simulators are great once you have a good handle on the problem but nothing beats the tactile response feedback of learning with our brains and hands. The question is, can you 'feel' (mentally predict future behavior) it as a physical circuit and know how to build it and/or fix it when it's broken.
 
Too much going on right now. Promoted to full-time care giver for a parent that cannot stand. Learning the ropes. My first diaper change didn't go as smoothly as I would like. The second was much better.

This morning I invented something. A bedside pill bottle (safety features removed) with a hole in the top and a string and knot tied to the bed rail.

It contains "as needed" pain medications (1 each). It took one day being awakened at 4:30 am in the morning to come up with a solution.

It should work out well for both of us.
