You certainly can...but the trick is calibrating the thing. If you have a GOOD external thermometer, you can run some resistance/temp curves on this. Then you can either use a conversion chart, or develop a log amp sort of readout.Hi ,

The voltage readout from the diode is basically linear with temperature, so I don't understand why you think you need a conversion chart or log amp.

I believe that is needed with the reverse leakage current method of temp with a diode. Way more complicated but supposedly more accurate.
