I sent the MCB for this to a repair shop in Wisconsin. 48 hour turnaround. Impressive!
While it was away, I replaced the bad aluminum electrolytic capacitors in what I believe is the DC power supply for the iPod sound system.
I also replaced the dead 2032 battery on the control board.
Got the MCB back and put it in and still no belt movement.
Fiddled with the date and time settings and got the belt to work from .5 to 12 mph, but it seems flaky because at times it will not work.
The control panel seems to be kind of picky about what setup the user wants...? Button sequence or maybe just dumb user (me).
I was reading the user manual for this and on the last useful page was a belt speed calibration routine.
It uses the engineering mode EnG 2 to calibrate the belt speed, but you have to press/hold both the incline + and speed - buttons for >5 sec.
It ran the belt at various speeds and at the end it displays E1 and does not return to the control panel. So what is Error 1?
I also discovered that holding down both My workout 1 and My workout 2 (P12 - P13) buttons >5 seconds seems to reboot the control panel.
I have adjusted the belt for center run and at just above slipping tension. Also lubed it with silicone so I suspect it is not dragging the motor -or is it?
I noticed there are about five engineering 'modes' (0 thru 4) so can anybody tell me what these are?
0? seems to be display and maybe button test
1?
2 belt speed calibration
Not sure about 1, 3 and 4. I may have fiddled with some of the numbers. Hope I didnt mess up something.
Anybody?
Thanks!
