Well it's Christmas Eve here in the UK and I thought I would wish everyone happy mid-winter festival, whatever you celebrate.

For me watching the Christmas lectures - http://www.rigb.org/christmas-lectures - is something I have been doing since I was a kid, so probably for over forty years.

I think thats why I like Oysters; Fish and Cabbage. I'm not so much up on Candy but; do enjoy good pastry.

Here is one of my favorites; Smoked Salmon; and Poached eggs with hollandaise sauce.

Red Cabbage and Sausage - Red Mashed Potatoes - Mustard Pickles and a Manhattan with lemon peal.

I didn't shred the cabbage but should have.
