We are soldering Hirose ST60 series connectors (24 position) onto some 28AWG, 16 Conductor stranded cable made by 3M. After soldering and during hooding/crimping some of the pins become loose. One of the things we tried doing was removing part of the braid under the crimp area, but these pins seem so loose, and move pretty easily when the cable is flexed. When soldering, we are using heat shrink on every other pin because the shrink is too thick to put on all of them and was making the pins bend outward. Does anybody have experience with these?
