Ok. Then you want to start by looking up and reading "Rewinding Transormers" or "Rewinding Flyback Transformers"

This will show you what is damaged and how rewinding will fix it.

It also will allow you to be sure that a high voltage use of this old thing will NOT burst into flames because the wire dip has turned into dust.

I highly reccomend you doing so. Also, do NOT leave this plugged in or powerd while you sleep or are away from the bench. It can FLASH into flames at ANY time. You want to be able to remove power BEFORE extinguishing flames. Do not use water unless all power is dissonnected. Smothering the flames will work best.

Paper piles and other flammables should be kept away during high voltage trials.

Are you crazy trying a HV for your first project, I am a TV repair tech for 15 years and still I don't try to build them as a lot of factor come into play when making these, like isolation and dielectric strength of the pcb you think of making the circuit.
You will need high voltage transistor and HV fast recovery diode. 2N3055 won't last even for pulse of the flyback.
I can make these circuits but I won't help you to make something as dangerous as this for your first project.
but even to make one with that FBT, you will need it's specs and inductance values to prevent the drive switch from frying or maintain a constant voltage at the output and also to prevent it from frying should a spark to occur from the poor wire insulation or you negligence.
Believe me HV shock is something you do not want.

If by any chance if you get shocked with both hands completing the circuit current will flow through the heart and you will die

You don't know how to built it then how would you know to make the safety cutouts should such a short should occur

 

If you are still going to proceed, make sure you are not alone when working with this.

The odds are you are going to hurt yourself, so be sure someone is around to assist if something happens.

It is scary to see how strongly a person can be influenced by the scam artists. It may have to do with the rather paranoid references to how "they" want to suppress the line of investigation/research.

That is no good reason to disregard personal safety and the findings of science.
