I'm running an angle grinder from a small generator and the generator is just powerfull enough to run it but not the start up load which stalls the engine, it takes 10 minutes to warm up and once the grinder has been run its ok. Is there any way to add a soft start to the grinder or boost the generator output momentarily to handle the starting load?

I'm aware that the answer is get a bigger generator but that is not an option. The AC breaker on the generator does not blow.

I think that was the nature of the suggestion. Maybe you didn't understand the suggestion. Do you require an explanation?
