I am working on dot matrix 7x40 dot matrix display to be able to display moving message. I am using AT89C51 and c or bascom51 languages.
I just need a guide. Thanks

 

there are tons of LED drivers out there (google "dot matrix led driver") or you can make your own using simple shift registers, something like:
