An RLC circuit

Rich (BB code):
----------------Capacitor-----------

E                              Resistor

--------------Inductor--------------
E = 250V @ 0 degrees
X of capacitor is 63.3 ohms
X of inductor is 20 ohms

The voltage across the resistor is 125V at an angle of 60 degrees.

Find the voltage across the capacitor and inductor and determine the value of R.

Ok so I feel like i have this one on the tip of my tongue, but I keep getting the answer incorrect (answer in the back of book.) I tried doing a 2 equation-2 variable substitution, but it isn't working out. My voltage was actually pretty close (within .2 so I'm guessing it's because I use all of the digits in my TI-89), but my phase angle is way off.

So my picture didn't quite come out the way I planned it to, but all it is is an RLC circuit. Source with 250V at an angle of 0 degrees, then a capacitor with reactance of 63.3 ohms, then a resistor with 125V at angle of 60 degrees a crossed it, then an inductor with reactance 20 ohms goes back to source.

Hi Georacer, OP 'kwangwanhos' also posted the same problem on the homework forum. Hopefully this will all get consolidated.

Hi kwangwanhos - it's confusing when you start more than one thread for the same problem.
