Hello, I have a Pressure sensor which its signal output is between 4-20 mA. I have a diagram of how to measure that current into labjack attached below also. I assume that the 4-20mA output signal changes as the "pressure" changes in the system. However, it is only changing when I change how much voltage is being supply. Why isn't the signal output changing as pressure changes?
These were a couple test I done.
1. I assume the 4-20mA output signal as a current source, and measure the voltage between the shunt resistor.
2. I measure the output signal with a ammeter without any resistance and the current did not change when the pressure changed.
My sensor is the DAR type. http://www.omega.com/pressure/pdf/DPG1000ADA_DPG1000DAR.pdf
