Welcome to AAC!

You have not posted enough information for any of us to work on.

What is your project?
What does your company or institution do?
What is the unit from?
Give us a hint as to what the instrument is related to. Is it from a ship, plane, train, tank, automobile, high energy physics lab?

What are those cable things hanging from above? Is it metal chain or metal braid of coax cable? Are those electrical connectors at the end?
What is the coil of metal behind?
Is this a high voltage installation?
Is this a multi-detector radiation detection system?

Where did you get the photo?
Can you get a photo that shows a zoom-out image?

Hello Mr Chips and thanks for your fast reply.

I am a prop maker, and i am making a prop that uses those parts. Actually that is a zoomed picture...

I am not related to the electronics world but i found your site in google and i really need help from the experts. The movie were this part is was from the 80's. I am located in Spain, Europe.
No idea about the cables or the metal coil.

Let's see if you can please help me.

Thanks

I said zoom-out, that is, I would like to see more of the surroundings.

You are a prop maker, as in movie stage prop creator?
This photo is taken from a movie?
What is the name of the movie? What was the movie about? What was the scene setting of the movie?
Was it some kind of Frankenstein lab?
Maybe some kind of high voltage generator or Tesla coil?
I don't think this has anything related to electronics.

The movie is Star Wars, and that is found inside 3pos head.

It looks to me like a capacitor or something like it. Here you have a pic...

Why didn't you show this in the first place?

It is very possible that the item is not something commercial to the electronics industry but completely fabricated from the mind of the prop creator.
