Help Tektronix 466 repair advice

Do you have the scope hooked to your calibration output?

I'm going from memory now but:

1. Set Source to channel one.

2. Set Trig mode to Auto.

3. x10 mag out.

It is obvious you have vertical deflection which is good.

Your trace looks a little short but that might be the angle.

Yeah i had it set like that,

I am wondering if a switch is stuck in or something is dirty.

I am going to clean out allt he pots and switches see if it improves if not i am going to move onto the next set of trouble shooting.

The trace appears when i have pulled Reduced Scan
("Reduces display to inner graticule with an increase in writing rate")

The item can not be repaired under warranty or buy the other party been there tryed that!

Hey Everyone,

Post was slow, i finished my HV probe it worked perfectly.
I did a test before i took the measurements on a lower voltage to ensure the
divider worked and it did!.


Sure enough on reduced scan i am getting my near normal operating voltages and on
normal i am getting well below.

Q1472 Base = Reduced Scan 0.520

Q1496 Base = 18.38v Full scan
