In a a/c series RLC circuit, find the total current when R=10ohms C=44uF L=.159H the source is 120V, 60hz

I'm sure you can do the rest. This is really simple.

 

first figure out the capacitive reactance of the cap at that frequency, and the inductive reactance of the coil at that frequency, then subtract the smaller from the larger,since they cancel each other at resonance, when off resonance the larger value will appear in the circuit to the amount it excedes the smaller reactance.Then add the effective reactance with the resistance and use ohms law to find the current. remember that unless the circuit is at its resonant frequency it will appear as only a capacitive reactance or an inductive reactance depending on if the frequency of the signal if higher or lower than the resonant point.
