No seriously. What power to what device? Makes a large difference if you are switching power to an LED or to a large electrical motor, like an air conditioner.

We're not mind readers - you need to state whether mains or low voltage and AC or DC.

If you're dealing with mains; this forum has some rules you need to get aquainted with - otherwise the moderators will close your thread.

There are dozens of circuit topologies that will do the job - knowing some background would make it easier to suggest something appropriate.

Is this power supply something that's plugged into an outlet? If it is, use the suggested appliance timer.

Why does this feel like another game of 20 questions???

Wouldn't a microwave be larger than the referenced timer???

Okay, here is a starting point. An adjustable timer. We need to get more specific to develop this. Minimum time? Maximum time? Powered by what? What is being controlled?
not knowing what your abilities are ... can you build it from a schematic? Can you select and buy parts?

 

Seriously what is your skill level? Can you solder? Have you used strip board before or can you design/make your own PCBs?

Do you want the fan to start at the specified time or do you want it to stop?

I tend to ask a lot of questions. But I have an idea using a few chips and supporting components. It's based on a CD4060 and a CD4017.

Answer all of my questions and I may be able to help.

You can use the NO contacts of the relay to switch on your device. After the amount of time delayed, the relay would operate and switch of your circuit.

I believe the 14 pin chip is a mcu. Using discrete logic chips, you would be able to do it with less than 3 or 4 chips to get such a wide range of time delays. Definitely not using LM555.

Yes. I think if you make the RC network with 180k Ω and 1.8MΩ resistors and a 220μF capacitor, I think a CD4060 will output a 100msec pulse on pin 14 every 30 minutes. I did the calculations earlier today but they need to be double checked. These values will result in a 9.1Hz clock or 16,384/1800.

I was going to feed this into a CD4017 where the decade outputs would enable timings of 30 minute multiples. Was working out the hold and reset circuitry.
