I am talking about creating audio compressors, solid state and tube one's. Eq's various effects, delays, reverbs. Maybe synths in the future.

The Scope, FFT, Grapher, Waveform generator, Number of channels, resolution, try a demo. write down model numbers.
The scope arrives but no AWG or the grapher software is available but is sold separately.
The lower end usb oscilloscopes have limited input, good for at low amplitude, scope input above 5mV.
I recall someone researched everything but his application needed a slight modification in software,
he never completed his project because the software was not compatible, each company sells it's own add on.
Prioritize the needs, the overall practical utility, in general electronics has wide variety of needs. Even in audio.

If you built a descent product or making serious audio test using a microphone but could not show what you are capable of doing, likely the objective failed you bought the wrong thing. The sweep function works but not enough detail from software to perform a fine adjustment.
You purchase a high end tube amplifier but the audio test shows same as a fake and your ears tell you it is good your test microphone passes.
The wave file created on audacity is now on channel A the AWG channel B also fed into pcb that outputs to an amplifier and microphone on channel C.
The acoustics completely changes so you tear it down and start over with acoustic analysis modify audacity wavefile readjust pcb relocate the microphone. The stage equipment is 80% like audacity so good enough but it is a juggling act. Getting the pcb in spec was one operation but
completing it in final rendition is a lot of back and forth testing. Practice makes perfect and a lot of experience that you find in other forums.
Most of us are not qualified sound engineers, we are aware that Ai will control studio, we are just inputting our routines to help roll out our obselescence.
