Help identifying components.

I do not think Q1 should be connected directly across the battery. The pump can never be powered up the way it is shown in the schematic in post #17. As there are no switches or push buttons could it be that LS1 is being used as a microphone so the unit could be triggered by sound ?

Hi Les. I didn't bother showing the switch. I'ts just a basic switch attached to the housing the batteries sit in. I'll try to find out more about this LS1. I figured someone might recognize it right off from the photo.
I think I have that positive lead from the battery attached to the wrong spot. Well, if nothing else I'm learning some new things :)

The disk is used something like a load cell when water is in the tank the pump will come on if the poster would show the whole thing we could see.

The pump will not last long without water in it . And there no way that Q1 is hooked up as been shown it short to ground it a simple switch for the motor the motor hooks to the vdd and the npn switches it on the the ground side to ground the rest works the piezoelectric sensor dish as water pressure sensor

Something more like this

The chip on board is a charge amp the let's the pump come on when there is water in tank
I've seen these before.

This makes sense. And a quick search on piezoelectric sensor in Amazon shows these exact discs. I agree about Q1- back to the drawing board literally :) .... I wonder if it's possible to get a 6pin charge amp chip (through hole)... I attached a pic, because you were asking. Because it was so gunked with epoxy and glue there isn't much left.

Ok, I've attached pics of both sides of the board. Also, by holding the board to different light I was able to trace it better. I went back to EasyEDA and drew it again. After quadruple checking it. This seems to be how it's laid out. Almost certain. I need to get the pump out, and can't get to it yet. They REALLY do not want anyone in here, ha ha. I won't be able to do that until later in the week though. The owner likes the design (it's not a cheap resin one, it's heavy and nice looking) and at this point I'm just rebuilding it I guess.
