# Help for gain parameters for quadrupoles

Hi

Can you explain to me what the values Avo = 2, Ais = 40, Gms = 200μS and Rmo = 400kΩ. Are they gain? How do I calculate the parameters of the quadripole from them?

This sounds like a homework problem. And the square symbol looks a lot like a four-terminal network. AND, you will need to define those terms Ais, ,Gms, Avo, and Rmo. It sounds a lot like variables for some flavor of simulator program, which I don't use simulator programs.

It is well explained in the Sedra/Smith book, page 28.
They are gain parameters.

So this is an exercise in a textbook that I am not familiar with. And all of the information that I would use to solve the challenge is contained in 28 pages that I have not seen. Possibly others who have studied the material have been able to solve the challenge..
