Hi there everyone,

Im looking for a replacement transistor for my TV's logic board, unfortunately i had a newbie slip and shorted out the Pwr_On to the 20v rail with the mainboard connected, not very clever at all i know. Here is the damage. Q8002

No input voltage stated on first link although this one says -40v , https://www.idc-com.co.jp/search/search/Pdf/en/6/RT1P141U , my alternative DDTA114 states +10 to -40v , the PDTA114 however states only +40v, otherwise the PDTA114 is actually very very similar although im not sure if this was a typing error.

Main Board Schematic for transistor Reference: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1196638/Lg-32le5500.html Not the exact same model but im pretty sure they use the same transistors marked P1 which is the RT1P141C and marked exactly the same on the board as Q8002. I can also see the P marking on the transistor all though the 1 marking is burnt out..

My other question is could i still be lucky enough that this hasnt damaged anything else ? After the component got burnt i could test continuity on all 3 legs...

I guess choosing a replacement with small differences shouldnt end up being a problem although this also depends on how close to the limits this transistor was being used in the first place ? Please correct me if im wrong.

If anybody has detail into what specifications are utmost important in choosing a replacement transistor id appreciate it. Thank you all !

You cannot find manual or datasheet given directly substitute,but you can study the spec and compare.
As long as npn you can try by yourself one at a time.

 

RT1P141C is available here, no?

At $1.42, I guess it is worth trying the experiment.

 

Thanx for the reply Raymond, your right, they are very cheap, worth the try, unfortunately i cannot find the NTE 2415 in my country, i will have to import it, i was wondering if i could get away with the either of the two that i listed. Thank You
